Welcome to Mr. Gallo's Language Arts class blog. This is a place for students to reflect on and discuss issues and topics that we cover in class. In addition, students will occasionally be required to post responses and comments to various assignments on this website. I look forward to utilizing this new and interesting method of communication with the class.

Hi Mr.Gallo,
When is the O.M.A.S 3rd question worksheet due?
Hi Mr. Gallo,
When is the questions for The Old Man and The Sea due?
Good questions... The third Old Man and the Sea Questions will be due next week, after we've read past page 97.
Just a note to J.S. in 7-8-1:
Yes, your comment worked - but I did not post it because I want you all to use complete sentences in your comments...
FYI: Old Man and the Sea questions 21-30 are due in class on Tuesday, January 29.
Hello Mr. Gallo...
I was just wondering if we had to fill out an outline for the book report or if the online submission is the only thing.
Thanks!
There is no need to submit an outline for this month's independent reading. You only need to post a summary / review on the blog.
Mr. Gallo,
After the third worksheet of questions will we have another one to work on after this one?
There will be one more worksheet for pages 97-128.
Mr. Gallo-
Do we put the ending in our summary?
Don't put the ending in if it is a surprise or major plot twist that you feel someone should read themselves to find out.
Remember: OMAS questions 31-40 due on Thursday, 1/31 and OMAS test (story and vocabulary) on Friday, 2/1!
mr gallo--
the ending of my book was a really big, surprising plot twist, but I put it in the suummary.
is that a bad thing?
will we be doing and assignment on the vidio of o.m.a.s?
Yes, we will be comparing the video to the book.
Y.L., that is ok. I said that giving away the ending was optional. If you'd like to repost it with some sort of "Spoiler alert", feel free. If you do, I'll delete the original. Otherwise, don't worry about it.
Mr.gallo, this is really cool, especially for all the pepople who have sloppy hand writing that you cant read now you dont have to read them anymore
